CVSTOS the Dani Pedrosa

CVSTOS REVS UP A GEAR AND TEAMS UP WITH WORLD MOTOGP VICE CHAMPION, DANI PEDROSA IN OFFICIAL PARTNERSHIP

CVSTOS is pleased to announce an exciting new partnership with Spanish MotoGP motorcycle racer, Dani Pedrosa. The collaboration has arisen organically from a natural friendship with CVSTOS founder, Sassoun Sirmakes. The two share a mutual appreciation for their respective professions, and a common love of sports.

Having mounted his first bike aged four, Dani Pedrosa is now a triple world champion across many classes, who rides for the Repsol Honda Team, the world’s leading bike manufacturers. In 2012 Dani had won seven out of 18 Grand Prix; he has taken the podium 16 times out of 18 races. Currently world motor biking vice champion, Dani is favourite for the 2013 Grand Prix season, which commenced in April 2013.

With a desire to leverage their friendship into an exciting collaboration, CVSTOS founders Sassoun Sirmakes and Antonio Terranova spent the day with Dani Pedrosa at Geneva’s Country Club. Here they enjoyed a relaxed workout and friendly game of squash as a unique way of formalising their new alliance.

The trio then headed to CVSTOS’ Manufacture in central Geneva. The group celebrated the partnership with a lunch in the CVSTOS Lounge, where they were joined by other mutual friends, before being given a tour of CVSTOS’ watchmaking ateliers. This marked Dani’s entryway into the world of fine watch making as he quickly discovered an appreciation for the technical workmanship behind CVSTOS’ timepieces.

The afternoon of the partnership day allowed Dani to bring his new found enthusiasm to the brand, as he teamed up with artistic director Antonio Terranova to co-design a timepiece inspired by the racing world. Dani brought a passion for his profession to the watch design, eager to translate the shapes, materials and stylistic features of his current superbike to a new CVTSOS technical timepiece. The Challenge Pedrosa Chronograph edition is currently under development.

After setting new records in Sepang (Malasia) and Austin (Texas, USA), for the pre-season trainings Dani is now heading to the next round of MotoGP Championships, backed by supportive Geneva fans at CVSTOS. Whilst waiting for his new co-creation, Dani will reserve his Chrono II Challenger timepiece for special occasions and will be sporting his CVSTOS Jet Liner model during pre-track training sessions. We hope for Dani that a podium stand is in sight!
