‘Um Sonho Intenso, Um Raio Vívido’
To Benefit Rising Young Sports Talents in Brazil

Miami, Florida (March 21, 2013) – Last night, Iconic luxury Swiss watchmaker, Girard-Perregaux, partnered with Instituto Tênis to host an exclusive event- “Um Sonho Intenso, Um Raio Vívido”  -in support of Brazil’s young sports talents in Miami. The evening was attended by over 200 guests consisting of Miami’s social elite crowd alongside Brazilian sports legends and stars: Brazilian Tennis Davis Cup Team members including Thomaz Bellucci, Bruno Soares, Thiago Alves and Marcelo Melo along with former Soccer player Antonio de Oliveira Filho alias Careca.

With Brazilian-inspired décor beautifully arranged throughout the different spaces of the JW Marriott Marquis, guests shared in an evening that celebrated Brazil and encouraged the future, education and talent in the country’s young generation.

A Girard-Perregaux Brazil-inspired limited edition timepiece was also showcased throughout the evening. The Chrono Hawk is the latest sport watch collection from the Brand and exudes energy in an avant-garde design. It features two chronograph counters facing each other at 3 and 9 o’clock in perfect symmetry and luminescent hour and minute hands. The athletic and vibrant steel case houses a Manufacture GP 3300 mechanical, automatic winding movement that can be seen through the sapphire case-back.

After introductions by Xavier Markl, International Director of Marketing at Girard-Perregaux, and Cristiano Borrelli from Insituto Tênis, who providing insight into the work of the organization and the incredible opportunities it provides to underprivileged yet highly driven young athletes, the evening concluded with an exclusive live auction. Conducted by one of Christie’s renowned and charismatic auctioneers, Jennifer Wright, the auction featured one unique piece –a limited edition custom Girard-Perregaux Chrono Hawk timepiece created specifically for the cause.
