The three-part, round, 45 mm-wide stainless steel case with a fixed bezel sits comfortably on the wrist. The superior sapphire crystal gives a beautifully clear view of the striking matt black dial.

The sleek and stylish white luminous hands stand out against the dial, and the silver indexes are hand applied by the finest craftsmen in the industry. Alpina's signature red triangle is of course located at the base of the second hand. The designers at Alpina have also added red accents at the tip of the second hand and at 5-second intervals around the chrono counter, superbly integrated into the watch face at the 6 o'clock position.

In yet another departure from traditional watch designs, the extra-large date display has been set at 12 o'clock.
