The Manufacture from Le Locle launches a new ladies’ model

At Baselworld 2014, Vulcain sprung a surprise by presenting an unexpected new range of ladies’ watches. After focusing its efforts in recent years on the masculine mark, it was indeed time for the brand to recapture women’s hearts!

Well-known for its iconic models such as the Cricket Presidents’ and Nautical watches, Vulcain is nonetheless far from a novice in the development of feminine models.

Having been particularly active on this market during the first half of the 20th century, the brand subsequently placed the emphasis on its flagship models.

This early 21st century heralds a new era in the history of the Manufacture, with a renewed dedication to women. Drawing inspiration from the aesthetics and refinement of the 1920s, the Manufacture offers a new range combining respect for 20th century style codes with the modernity and technology inherent in the brand’s established status.

Featuring an oval shape and a guilloche mother-of-pearl dial, this model with its elegantly understated design radiates a distinctive and resolutely on-trend aura of femininity.

This new range comprises 16 references and associate colours, materials and finishes in such a way as to create a variety of effects. From a sporty version with a satin strap
and steel case, it appears in a more classical guise with a gem-set variation teamed with a pearly alligator leather strap.

Conveying the same concern for details, the crown may be set with a blue spinel or black onyx, while the open worked oscillating weight adorned with floral motifs provides a
tantalising glimpse into the heart of this exceptional creation.
