Pequignet celebrates its anniversary,
40 years of history...
Emile PEQUIGNET founded his own brand in 1973 and set himself up in Morteau, in the heart of the Jura watchmaking region. The genetic code for the Pequignet brand is therefore the characteristic design of the Moorea straps, and their polished links are Emile Pequignet’s hallmark. Since the early 1980s, the Emile Pequignet brand has been associated with the world of horse riding. This relationship led to the Equus collection in 1987, which was aimed at those who shared a love of horses and beautiful timepieces.
With its silver dial stamped like a coin, the Moorea Equus therefore proudly bears its motto : Hominis Nobilissima Victoria.
Today, Pequignet is celebrating its 40th anniversary. The brand has known how to evolve and adapt with the times, and is now a recognised manufacture. The Moorea collection has stood the test of time and represents Pequignet’s other cornerstone, which continues to attract the brand’s enthusiasts.
To celebrate the brand’s 40th anniversary, the Equus range has been revisited and modernised, but with a nod to the past. The leather strap is secured by two lugs which curve in from the very flat gold or steel case.
