A stylish statement for every day of the week
The new Teutonia II Tag/Datum
With the new Teutonia II Tag/Datum (Day/Date), Mühle-Glashütte combines pure elegance, classic understatement and practical use. Displaying day, date and time, this timepiece stylishly focuses on the most important information of daily business life. And the same focus on its essentials of design and functionality makes the Teutonia II Tag/Datum a perfectly-tailored personal statement right on the wearer’s wrist – every day of the week.
The Teutonia family of timepieces from Mühle-Glashütte has always stood for plain elegance and down-to-earth luxury. With the Teutonia II Tag/Datum Mühle-Glashütte is expanding this successful family of watches with a variant whose practical and attractive weekday display shows a subtle awareness of style and taste, no matter what the occasion.
The arrangement of the dial is harmonious and well balanced in every detail. The curved display for the current day of the week at the 12 o'clock position further accents the shapely style of the watchcase, with the date display at the 6 o'clock position forming a fine counterpoint. Both are embedded in a lavish guilloche dial. And the embossed, fine relief etching of the dial doesn't just serve as an ornament; it also divides the dial, giving it a finer degree of readability. This is important for any timepiece produced by Mühle-Glashütte, because every Mühle watch is designed in accordance with the family tradition of producing fine timepieces that are easily readable at a glance. Therefore it is only natural that easy readability is also at the heart of this elegant business watch.
The hands sweep elegantly across the guilloche center of the timepiece with its hand-applied hour markers. And like the black hands themselves, the hour markers distinctively stand out from the silver dial and contribute to the watch's easy readability.
The minute markers, by contrast, are tastefully set back in their own relief around the watch dial. The interplay between the different elevations, the shining indicators, and the beveled edges of the date window give the dial a wealth of detail that creates a seductive charm that is never intrusive.
The simple elegance of exquisite materials and craftsmanship is reflected in the hand-finished, stainless steel case. The polished upper surface of the lugs and two- step bezel form an exciting contrast that will draw a lingering gaze from all who catch a glimpse of the Teutonia II Tag/Datum – even if they’re not particularly interested in the time. The Teutonia II Tag/Datum is stylishly completed with a crocodile leather band and stainless steel butterfly clasp. Accents that make it a perfect addition to its predecessors in the Teutonia family. Elegant, timeless and focused on the essentials. A timepiece for all those who believe understatement is the perfect statement.
