MeisterSinger presents its No03 and Pangaea models in a new dial color
The surface of a dial, its colour and structure, is actually just like every tiny detail of a high-quality mechanical timepiece, a product of traditional craftsmanship, technical and aesthetic discussion, trial and error. The owner of the watch, fortunately, is aware of little of this, while nevertheless feeling the visual allure of a well-made dial with every glance at it. Only in motion is it demonstrated how the surface behaves under varying light conditions. Bright silver dials, for example, quite subtly take up the colours of their surroundings.
Up to now there were the standard No03 and Pangaea models in three classical dial variations: silver-white, dynamic anthracite and an ivory colour, referring to the historical heritage of single-hand watches. From now on, the No03 and the elegant Pangaea are also available with a vibrant sapphire-blue dial, contrasting clearly with the white indices and the white sharply pointed hand. A careful sunburst pattern on the dial ensures its deep shimmer, with changing exposure to light, allowing a fine light flash to shift around the watch centre.
A good deal of expertise by the manufacturer is required for the beautiful blue– and a little courage by the wearer of the watch. It is always an eye-catcher, more so than one with a white or dark grey dial. Blue is no fashion colour, never foolish. Blue is a statement, representing spaciousness and freedom, relaxation and concentration. This suits MeisterSinger customers very well, due to their self-determined dealing with time. Their glance at the sapphire-blue dial also possibly serves, at the same time, as self-verification. Or they are simply pleased with the shimmer of the dial, which changes with every movement.
The stainless steel case of the new, blue No03 has an impressive diameter of 43 millimeters, that of the elegant Pangaea measures 40 millimeters. The mechanisms of both models feature ETA movements 2824-2 (or Sellita SW 200-1) and 2892-A2 (or Sellita SW 300-1), top products of Swiss watchmaking. Their automatic winding mechanism is supplied with a power reserve of 38 and 42 hours respectively.
