JEANRICHARD PRESENTS TWO NEW LIMITED EDITIONS
IN TRIBUTE TO THE LEGENDARY ANIMALS OF MEXICO

This year and on the occasion of SIAR – the Salon International de Alta Relojeria, one of the largest watch forums held in Mexico – the Swiss watch maker JEANRICHARD introduces two new Limited Editions of 50 numbered timepieces to pay tribute to the most emblematic members of the Mexican animal kingdom, the Golden Eagle and the Jaguar.

Both animals have been symbols commanding the greatest respect in Mexico since the pre-Hispanic era, and it is believed that the Golden Eagle and the Jaguar represented respectively Light and Darkness in Aztec mythology. Today, the Iconic Terrascope from JEANRICHARD gives life to this innovative and elegantly sporty special edition.

The Golden Eagle and the Jaguar are two species whose role is vital for the normal working of the ecosystems that they live in. They help to maintain the population balance of other species with whom they share their habitat. In line with the values of JEANRICHARD, both animals have to achieve extraordinary things – be the every day heroes - to be able to live in an ever changing world.

The Terrascope model, with its cushion-shaped case and large rounded bezel, has a style that is strikingly contemporary and original, at the same time being sober and masculine. It combines a sense of individuality with the sophistication, solidity and robustness of the numerous parts of its structure, while also being water-resistant to 100 metres. This model has a self-winding JR60 movement and is equipped with a power reserve of 42 hours.

The first version of this Limited Edition, the Golden Eagle Terrascope, dedicated to the Mexican national symbol, displays a black camouflage-style satin finish. At the bottom of the dial is a very delicate engraving depicting the most significant features of this potent bird of prey.

The Terrascope version inspired by the Jaguar has the same camouflage-style satin finish, but this time in grey. At 6 o’clock there is a silhouette showing the features of this legendary cat.

Both versions come with a rubber strap, black and grey respectively, and with a finely-ribbed surface, the JR signature and a folding buckle.

With this Limited Edition, JEANRICHARD honours, and also provides financial support to the Fundación Refugio Salvaje (Wildlife Refugee Foundation), which on a daily basis is dedicated to protecting these legendary animals that are now in danger of extinction.

JEANRICHARD watches represent the beauty of wide open spaces, the enchantment of other places, the richness of new encounters and admiration for a world that we need to protect. This is why, in association with the Wildlife Refugee Foundation, the Swiss watch maker seeks the conservation and protection of these legendary Mexcian species – and all the future owners of one of these 50 numbered limited edition timepieces will also contribute to help protect them.
