PARMIGIANI FLEURIER the Pershing Tourbillon

 

The latest addition to the Pershing collection features unique components and exudes a mysterious depth of character. Boasting an exceptionally light titanium middle, the Pershing Tourbillon Abyss is adorned with a dynamometric screw-down crown and a rose gold bezel. With its deep blue dial, the latest generation of this prestigious family launched in 2008 remains faithful to the Brand's codes and the innovative style of its predecessors.

Drawing on a shared passion for excellence, Parmigiani Fleurier and the famous Italian yacht manufacturer Pershing forged a partnership in 2007. These two prestigious brands manage the entire production process, from design to final delivery. Featuring bold stylistic codes and original lines, the partnership places the accent on traditional craftsmanship and refined materials. That's why there's a natural association between Pershing and Parmigiani Fleurier's very first collection of sports watches. The contemporary line marries refinement with a spirit of competition. It is characterised in particular by its exceptional finishes and its curves, which evoke the shape of a yacht hull. These <em>Sport Activity Timekeepers </em>are built for adventure and outdoor activities, yet retain an elegance in tune with urban life.

Unveiled during the most recent SIHH trade fair, the Pershing Tourbillon Abyss stays true to tradition, and features a magnificent tourbillon at 6 o'clock. Designed and developed entirely within the manufacture, this edition of 30 numbered pieces also includes a weekly power reserve. Driven by the PF 510 manufacture calibre, this timepiece combines the modern allure of titanium with the nobility of rose gold.

Often used in the aviation industry because of its strength, this grade 5 metal is 60% lighter than steel. Its exceptional resistance to corrosion makes it the perfect material for watersports watches. The 45 mm case guarantees maximum comfort and safety in any situation. Worked like a precious metal, the double-brushed finish further accentuates its tough character. The smooth shape of the Parmigiani horns reinforces the model's contemporary character. Water resistant down to 100 metres, this unique watch contains more than 237 components. In addition to its Côtes de Genève decoration and hand-chamfered bridges, a sapphire case-back reveals the watch's remarkable finishes. The sturdy, reliable screw-down crown in rose gold is designed to withstand a pressure of 10 atmospheres.

The distinctive Parmigiani Delta hands stand out beautifully on the dial, which is decorated with waves in an array of blues. The depth of this stunning effect creates a brilliant contrast with the yellow gold of the indices and numerals. Exquisite workmanship and a delicate electroplating treatment guarantee a truly astonishing result. The electrochemical process is used to deposit fine layers of material, producing a beautiful variety of marine blues. In keeping with its codes, the manufacture has complemented the Pershing Tourbillon Abyss with a Hermès strap in blue alligator leather. Parmigiani Fleurier has once again demonstrated the true power of its creativity.
