Traditional elegance with a signature contemporary slant

Keen observers of the Manufacture Roger Dubuis continue to marvel at its enduring ability to combine time- honoured craftsmanship with state-of-the-art watchmaking expertise interpreted in a variety of exciting and edgy ways. The Hommage Automatic models powerfully sum up this proven capacity to simultaneously reassure and surprise watch lovers with a combination of traditional and modern elements. Their unique conception is based on the RD620 self-winding calibre, beating at a steady 28,800 vibrations per hour and representing a new generation of Roger Dubuis movements. Naturally designed, developed and manufactured in-house in keeping with the stringent demands of the Poinçon de Genève, this self-winding movement features characteristically shaped bridges, springs and levers, as well as the signature Roger Dubuis micro-rotor.  The uncompromising excellence of its individually hand-finished components make it entirely worthy to bear the Mr Roger Dubuis’ signature metallised on the sapphire crystal pane fitted in to its elegant 42 mm case-back.

Moreover, as one has come to expect from the Manufacture, the dial features a daring and instantly recognisable design combining a distinctive sunray guilloché motif seamlessly intermingling with the applied radiating Roman numerals. As is often the case on the face of Roger Dubuis timepieces, a subtle play on tone-on-tone effects and colour contrasts lends additional character and depth to these handsome models. Pink or white gold versions bear charcoal grey Roman numerals, a snailed small seconds counter at 9 o’clock featuring a silver and charcoal grey background with black and white transfers; and a charcoal grey flange with respectively white or pink gold appliques and a white minute-circle. An even more precious pink gold interpretation features a bezel set with sparkling F-G or Top Wesselton brilliant-cut diamonds of IF-VVS clarity.
