FROM FASCINATING CONCEPT WATCHES TO THE MAGIC SPELL OF JEWELLERY CREATIONS WOVEN FROM GOLD AND DIAMONDS

Since the late 1950s, Piaget has distinguished itself in the field of jewellery watches thanks to its exceptionally daring attitude. Encouraged by the ever-growing success of its creations, the Manufacture has consistently proven its ability to offer stylish variations on how its models are worn: its secret watches, cuff watches and sautoir watches have had a lasting impact on the world of feminine watchmaking. Epitomising this rich creative and conceptual heritage, the Limelight Magic Hour, Limelight Twice and Limelight Dancing Light watches respectively launched in 2007, 2009 and 2010 have become the brand’s feminine icons, while the Limelight Blooming Rose has just blossomed in the enchanted garden of the Yves Piaget rose.    
 

LIMELIGHT MAGIC HOUR  
At once sublimely elegant and mischievous, the Limelight Magic watch plays with time and makes light of conventions. Three options, three styles, three states of mind. For the very first time, thanks to an invisible mechanism developed in the secrecy of the Piaget workshops, a watch model is endowed with magic powers enabling its owner to chose between different ways of wearing it in tune with her wishes. A first 45° twist takes the ellipse from its horizontal position to adopt a delightfully impish pose on the wrist. Another smooth move and the case pivots to sit upright, thereby revealing two large diamond-set gold numerals adorning the dial. The ingenious rotating device orchestrating this stunning display of successive transformations has also inspired another of its creations: Limelight Blooming Rose.     

LIMELIGHT TWICE  
An original watch featuring an atypical design, Limelight Twice expresses its dual nature served through perfect reversibility. The case, dial, strap and buckle may indeed be worn either way around and display a demure or extrovert side of their nature depending on the mood of the moment. The offset hours and minutes appear in turn at 6 or 12 o’clock, while the two facets of the watch reveal different motifs, with or without gem-setting. Two Piaget 56P quartz movements, each enlivening one face of the Limelight Twice, serve to count off the time in two different time zones.    

LIMELIGHT DANCING LIGHT   
In 2010, the Limelight Dancing Light watch set a new tempo for the collection. Piaget devised an authentic concept case framing a refined motif gliding endlessly around the dial, enhanced by a precious slender circle. This playful design offers an original interpretation of movement and rotation – two cherished themes recurrently explored by the Maison. Capturing the ephemeral beauty of a dance and recreating its fascination on the wrist, Limelight Dancing Light brings to the fore a quintessential factor in the history of Piaget: creative magic.     

LIMELIGHT BLOOMING ROSE  
The latest creation to blossom in the wonderful garden of Yves Piaget rose bushes, Limelight Blooming Rose unfurls its delicate corallae like a bouquet of diamonds gracing the golden flowerbed beneath. Like a barely open rosebud, four gem-set petals compose pure, gently cambered curves ideally suited to daily wear. And then, as if at dusk to herald an enchanting evening, the flower blooms entirely to reveal four new diamond-paved petals. All the ingenuity of the Piaget artisans was once again put to the test in devising this stunning “live” blooming of a splendid jewellery rose. The upper case of the watch swivels 45° as desired, thanks to an invisible mechanism mysteriously orchestrated by Piaget. The Maison’s prolific creativity is thus represented by the most prestigious possible ambassador: the Yves Piaget rose.  

In a captivating flurry of 269 grain-set diamonds (2.5 carats), Limelight Blooming Rose distils the floral notes of a time imbued with dreamy refinement. The acknowledged couturier of gold and diamonds, Piaget exalts the virtuoso jewellery-making skills of its nimble-fingered artisans in breathing life into extraordinary creations stemming from its ever-fertile imagination.   

Powered by a Piaget 56P movement, Limelight Blooming Rose reveals its magic within a case crafted from white gold and beautifully framing a black lacquered dial matching the satin strap fitted with a gem- set pin buckle.
