They’re the goals that drive the dedicated designers and ultra-talented engineers to constantly strive for time pieces that are visually stunning, unfailingly reliable and technically superior, while remaining in the price range of the masses of people who appreciate truly fine watches.

The 2014 Slimline Manufacture Collection represents a huge stride towards those goals. The three new models that make up this new range have design features and technical advances that you would only expect to find on watches costing many multiples of the price at which these new pieces are being offered.

Each of the new models is powered by the FC-710 Manufacture calibre automatic movement, featuring 26 jewels, an intricate Perlage and circular Côtes de Genève decoration, and an impressive 42-hour power reserve. All feature an extra-wide (42 mm) steel, three-part case. The dials are protected by convex sapphire crystal, and each model offers the incredibly popular see-through case back.

The Frederique Constant engineers have designed this range in such a way that the hour, minute and date functions can all be adjusted through the watch’s single crown. The super-slim yet wide dials are visually striking; they present a clean, classic and uncluttered appearance, with simple yet luxurious hand-applied indexes. The hour, minute, second and date hands are all hand-polished, and an extra large date counter is located at the 6 o’clock position.

The first model in this range, the FC-705N4S4, is presented with a striking, domed navy blue dial. The dark dial contrasts magnificently with the rose gold plated case, indexes and hands. A rich blue alligator leather strap completes the look.

The FC-705S4S6 comes with a gleaming, hand-polished stainless steel case, which blends beautifully with the domed silver dial, silver hands and hand-applied silver indexes. This model is finished with a classic black alligator leather strap.

Finally, the FC-705V4S4 features a combination of the rose gold plated case surrounding the domed silver dial. The hour, minute and second hands are also plated in rose gold, and this model is completed with a chocolate brown alligator leather strap.
